Organized Career Job Fairs to provide opportunities for good paying jobs.

Brokered a deal for Kroger to make capital improvements at their Seibenthaler store location. Improvements made are as follows:

Additional Staff & Security

Urged the Leadership Team of Greyhound to Make Capital Improvements at Their Property in the City of Trotwood.

Education

Speaking on behalf of the students during the  Dayton Public School Board Meeting 

Successfully Negotiated Settlement In Confederate Flag Case With Kettering City School District 

Established a Collaborative Partnership with Superintendents throughout the Dayton Region to address race relations and other educational opportunities within their respective school districts. 

Healthcare

Led a Meeting with Healthcare Professionals to Educate Citizens About the Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic.  

Hosted Town Hall and Strategic Planning Sessions with Premier Executives and Community Members Regarding Good Samaritan Closure. 

Taking a Position on Issue 2

Public Safety and Criminal Justice

Worked with Law Enforcement Agencies Throughout Montgomery County to Implement an 8-Point Strategy on Criminal Justice Reform and Police Accountability.

Recognized Law Enforcement for a Job Well Done During the Oregon District Mass Shooting.
 

Won Landmark Decision in Deputy Sheriff’s Racially Charged Text Messages Case. Two law enforcement officers were terminated and three were disciplined.

Voting Rights and Political Representation

Launched a Petition Drive to Oppose
Dayton Together Initiative (City/County Merger) 

Educated leaders of the Divine Nine regarding the importance of the 2020 Census. Empowering their leadership to confirm that other members are registered to vote and how to register them if they are not.  
 

Led a Delegation from Dayton to Participate in the March on Washington.

Youth and Young Adult Engagement

Financially Supported and Ensured that the Move Foward Thurgood Marshall NAACP High School Chapter was Successfully Chartered by the NAACP Board of Directors. This was the First NAACP High School Chapter in the State of Ohio.  

Supported the President of the Move Foward Thurgood Marshall High School Chapter as she participated in a press conference regarding the Vote No on Issue One Campaign.
 

Participated in the 13th Annual Get Out the Teen Vote March where first time voters in our local high schools had an opportunity to cast their vote for the first time.

Women's Rights

Led a news conference regarding an effort to adequately supply feminine hygiene products in correctional institutions. This legislation is currently known as House Bill 30. 

I believe the citizens of Ohio were very clear with the passage of Issue 1. Women should have the right, in consultation with their doctors, to make their own well-informed decisions about what happens with their reproductive system.
 

During this women's month, I am remembering the four black girls who were killed in the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday, September 15, 1963.


Denise McNair (11), Addie Mae Collins (14), Carole Robertson (14), and Cynthia Wesley (14) were denied their right of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness because of hatred.
